PROSPECTIVE FLOW

MOMOHIKI, HAORI, TABI

Los Angeles based clothing line Prospective Flow was the dream child of three brothers and their friend who couldn’t find the clothes they were looking for on the racks. They founded Prospective Flow, PF for short, with an eye towards bringing style heritage into the future. PF incorporates fashion inspired by Japan’s native Ainu people, traditional Japanese dress and a thoroughly modern sensibility to their line of clothing. PF’s baggy and cinched-waist wrap-around momohiki pants and loose and breezy haori jackets evoke the drapery of yukatas and kimonosinfused with Los Angeles verve. Tabis, split toe canvas Japanese construction site shoes, transfer perfectly into a modern aesthetic. PF’s amalgam of contemporary mores and legacy apparel exemplifies their value of perpetuating tradition by reimagining it.
